Belting out church anthems with the lingo of classic gospel has garnered RiZen comparison to standard-bearers such as The Caravans and The Clara Ward Singers.  That may be true, but it’s refreshing to hear women with the same fire in their bellies as more cent acts like The Truthettes and the Williams Sisters.

The use of some heavy guitar riffs and some current praise & worship style shows the ladies aren’t mere stylistic revivalist, either.  RiZen never sings to tedious adult R&B/fusion jazz with Jesus lyrics.”
