SHERIDAN SQUARE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES COMPENDIA MUSIC GROUP

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 14, 2004) – New York based Sheridan Square Entertainment announced today that it has acquired all of the music assets of Nashville’s Compendia Music Group. Sheridan Square Co-CEO Joe Bianco made the announcement. “Compendia’s strong leadership, outstanding catalog, and unwavering commitment to producing quality new music resonate well with Sheridan Square’s vision for the future. I am pleased to announce the addition of Compendia to our growing music family.”

“This acquisition represents an important next step in the development of Compendia. By combining our resources and talent with Sheridan Square’s, the company will have a much greater opportunity to go to the next level,” said Compendia president/CEO Michael Olsen. Compendia Music Group will continue to be headquartered in Nashville, TN. Compendia was represented in the transaction by Los Angeles based investment firm Music Analytics.

Sheridan Square Entertainment is a New York based music holding company controlled by Redux Records, a company founded by Joe Bianco, and Anil Narang, founders of Alliance Entertainment, and Joe Pretlow, formerly a partner at Bain Capital. Sheridan Square’s holdings include Artemis Records, which earned the title of Billboard magazine’s #1 U.S. independent label in 2000 and 2001 and whose artists earned four 2005 Grammy nominations, Musicrama Distribution, Vanguard Classics, Triloka Records, and Ropeadope Records.

Launched in January 2002, Compendia Music Group is a Nashville based independent music company.
