Tommy James & The Shondells release their GREATEST HITS album on March 8
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 8, 2005) - One of rock’s most acclaimed groups, Tommy James & The Shondells, will release their COLLECTOR’S SERIES: THE GREATEST HITS OF TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS album, including singles such as “Hanky Panky,” “Mony Mony,” “Crimson & Clover,” “Sweet Cherry Wine,” “Draggin’ The Line,” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion” on March 8 with the Intersound Label of Compendia Music Group.
With the release date set on March 8, 2005, the COLLECTOR’S SERIES: THE GREATEST HITS OF TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS features an outstanding collection of re-recordings and live tracks of some of their classics as well as new studio recordings; all with better quality and sound coupled with modern recording techniques. With a tour set for 2005, Tommy James & The Shondells are set to amaze audiences with their original rock sound and come alive again with their 14 Top 40 hits.
During 1968-69, Tommy James and The Shondells sold more single records than any other artist in the world, including The Beatles. The hit “Hanky Panky” was their first million-selling single, followed by two more million-selling singles: “Say I Am” and “It’s Only Love.” With their newest release since the 1980s, this Collectors Series edition provides a way to let their timeless hits live on forever.
